Dee Mond - Hellfire EP
pyratemusic Presents: Dee Mond - Hellfire EP
Dee Mond - Hellfire EP [Pyrate Music]
The latest release from Pyrate Music, Dee Mond's Hellfire EP is some of
the darkest, thumping techno to come from him to date.
Starting with the track "Precarious" which sounds like the theme tune
from a splatter movie or even a nightmare.
Dee Mond says his influence
for this track comes from the metal band Slayer, which kind of makes
sense because it is very very dark indeed !
The second track "Taste Good" is just as dark yet more subtle and
subversive."This one is Kind of influenced by a washing machine. No,
Honestly it is !" (Dee Mond)
The Third track "Overboard" slants more toward an electro sound and has
crunchy bass and sparkly melodies.
"Overboard is influenced by the Sci-Fi
stories of the machines rising up against mankind. The machines are
already in control today! We are still trying to give the machines even
more power, we seem quiet happy to allow them to run life critical
applications more and more these days. The robots wont need to fight us
if we give them the keys to our world"(Dee Mond)
"Exsomnia" the fourth and final track on the EP see's to it that any need
for Dee Mond's signature gritty bass and deep kicks is thouroughly
satisfied.Sonic slaughtering abounds. So,Whats the name about?
"Well, its pretty much the opposite of insomnia. I've always been an
insomniac. The name comes from when you have not slept properly in weeks
then finally crash out properly for a silly length of time, Thus the
name"
The "Hellfire EP" will be out on Monday the 8th of september. You can

You can catch Dee Mond on LeithFM's Vinyl Club on Friday the 5th of
